1. Can you tell us a little about yourself and what motivated you to start creating content in the fashion and lifestyle space?
I’m Marie Christine Caruana, a nurse, influencer and content creator. A lot of people may know me from my journey on Love Island Malta. My journey into content creation was fuelled by my deep passion for fashion, beauty, and self-expression. Growing up, I was always drawn to the world of fashion, and I loved experimenting with different styles and trends. This natural inclination, combined with the influence of social media, inspired me to share my personal style with a wider audience. I want to build a platform where I could showcase my love for fashion and lifestyle while also encouraging others to explore and embrace their own personal styles.
2. What or who inspires you the most in your creative process?
Sarah Zerafa inspires me the most in my creative process because of her impeccable ability to merge fashion with storytelling in a way that feels both authentic and innovative. Her consistent aesthetic and the way she engages her audience through visually compelling content sets a high standard in the digital space, motivating me to push my own creative boundaries.
3. How would you describe your personal style, and how does it influence your content?
I would describe my personal style as a blend of chic and contemporary, with a touch of boldness. I love experimenting with different trends while keeping my outfits elegant and refined. This versatility allows me to mix high-end pieces with more accessible fashion, creating looks that are both aspirational and relatable.
My style heavily influences the content I create, as I aim to inspire others to find confidence in their own fashion choices. Whether it’s through outfit ideas or lifestyle posts, I always strive to reflect my personal taste while encouraging my audience to express themselves through their own unique style.
4. What has been the most rewarding moment of your content creation journey so far?
The most rewarding moment of my content creation journey so far has been the positive feedback and support I’ve received from my audience. Seeing how my content resonates with people and knowing that it can inspire or uplift someone is incredibly fulfilling. Another highlight has been the opportunities to collaborate with brands and creatives that I admire. These collaborations have not only validated my work but also allowed me to grow and explore new creative avenues. Ultimately, the connections I’ve made and the impact I’ve had on others make all the hard work worth it.
5. Could you share one significant hurdle you’ve faced as a content creator and how you overcame it?
One significant hurdle I’ve faced as a content creator is dealing with the pressure to constantly produce fresh and engaging content while maintaining authenticity. The fast-paced nature of social media can sometimes lead to burnout, where it feels challenging to keep up with trends or generate new ideas without compromising on quality or staying true to myself.
To overcome this, I’ve learned to set boundaries and prioritize balance. I remind myself that it’s okay to take breaks when needed, and I focus on creating content that genuinely reflects my passions and interests rather than just following trends. Planning ahead and maintaining a content calendar have also been helpful in managing the workload without feeling overwhelmed. By staying true to my voice and pacing myself, I’ve been able to navigate this challenge while continuing to grow as a creator.

One project I’m particularly proud of is launching my presenter journey. It was a significant milestone that allowed me to step into a new role and connect with my audience in a fresh and dynamic way. What made it special was the opportunity to blend my passion for fashion and lifestyle with the skills of engaging live audiences. The project was not only a personal achievement but also a chance to bring a unique voice and perspective to the content I created. It marked a new chapter of growth and creativity, showing how far I’ve come and where I’m headed.
