Interview with Local Talent
1. Can you tell us a little about yourself and what motivated you to start creating content in the fashion and lifestyle space?
From a young age, I’ve always had a deep love for clothes and anything that felt feminine and fun. I vividly remember how much I enjoyed experimenting with my outfits, never wanting to wear the same thing twice and constantly changing my look. This early passion naturally led me to modeling, where I could explore different styles and express myself through fashion.
At the same time, I developed a strong interest in marketing, fascinated by the way brands communicate and connect with their audiences. When the world of content creation started to grow, it felt like the perfect opportunity to combine these two passions. Creating content in the fashion and lifestyle space allows me to bring together my love for fashion and my marketing skills, sharing my personal style while also engaging with a broader community. It’s a space where I feel I can truly fit in and make an impact, blending creativity with strategy.
2. What or who inspires you the most in your creative process?
What inspires me most in my creative process is anything that embodies femininity and fun. I’m drawn to the beauty in life—whether it’s a stunning outfit, a captivating design, or even the simple elegance in everyday moments. These elements fuel my creativity and drive me to create content that reflects that same sense of beauty and joy.
Additionally, I’m deeply inspired by the challenge of taking a vision from concept to completion. There’s something incredibly satisfying about setting a goal, nurturing it through the creative process, and seeing it come to life in a way that resonates with others.
Equally important is the inspiration I draw from sharing real emotions and engaging in meaningful conversations. Connecting with people through genuine, heartfelt writing and deep talks adds another layer to my creative journey. It’s the interplay between personal expression and authentic connection that truly enriches my content and keeps me motivated.
3. How would you describe your personal style, and how does it influence your content?
Over the years, my personal style has evolved significantly. I’ve tried everything formal and elegant outfits, trendy skirts, and bold colours but all of this experimentation led me to realize that comfort is what I value most. I’m drawn to timeless staples that never go out of fashion, and I’ve learned just how essential basics are in building a versatile wardrobe. Of course, I still love indulging in bright colours, florals, and statement pieces, but I always return to plain, elegant, and classic styles.
This evolution is reflected in the content I create. I focus on incorporating comfort into my looks, emphasizing that fashion isn’t just about wearing what’s in trend, but about how you style and wear it confidently. I love to show how a single piece can be dressed up or down, highlighting its versatility. My goal is to inspire others to find their own balance between elegance and practicality, and to make fashion work for them in a way that feels authentic and effortless.
4. What has been the most rewarding moment of your content creation journey so far?
The most rewarding moment of my content creation journey has been reaching the point where I am today. It’s incredibly fulfilling to be working with brands I once admired and to see my content featured on multiple brand pages, in promos, and even magazines.
Although I’m not yet where I ultimately want to be, I see this as a promising start. The fact that I’m making strides and gaining recognition is a significant milestone, and I’m excited about the journey ahead. I’m committed to continuing my growth and following this path, and that ongoing sense of progress and possibility is what makes this experience so rewarding.
5. Could you share one significant hurdle you’ve faced as a content creator and how you overcame it?
One significant hurdle I faced as a content creator was grappling with the pressure of social media analytics and the impact of negative thoughts. Early on, I found myself overly focused on numbers and what others might think or say, which often led to self-doubt and anxiety. I started and stopped so many times, wishing I had just started earlier and removed all the negative thoughts from my head.
To overcome this, I shifted my focus from solely analyzing metrics to valuing the genuine connections I was building with my audience. I reminded myself that real-life interactions and personal satisfaction matter more than any analytics. Believing more in myself and staying true to my authentic self helped me move past the negativity. With a lot of work and a bit of growing up, I learned that age and experience can bring a clearer perspective and a more balanced approach to my work.
6. What tools or strategies have been most helpful for you in growing your audience?
To grow my audience, I focus on understanding what resonates with my followers through analytics and feedback. Consistency in posting and engaging actively with my audience has been key. Collaborating with other creators and optimizing my content for discoverability are also crucial strategies.
Additionally, staying current with trends and using popular hashtags effectively has helped increase my visibility. Sharing genuine thoughts and emotions has allowed me to connect more deeply with my audience, creating a more relatable and engaging experience. By combining these approaches, including trend integration and authentic interactions, I’ve been able to build and grow my audience effectively.
7. How do you stay authentic and true to yourself while also catering to your audience’s interests?
Staying authentic while catering to my audience’s interests involves a careful balance. Over the years, I’ve come to understand and accept who I am and what I genuinely enjoy. This self-awareness helps me remain true to myself, even as I consider what my followers might like. While I aim to create content that resonates with them, I also set clear boundaries to ensure that my platform reflects my true interests and values. Additionally, I want to keep the process fun and enjoyable, ensuring that what I create is not only authentic but also something I love doing.
8. What advice would you give to someone just starting out in the fashion and lifestyle content creation world?
My advice for someone just starting out in the fashion and lifestyle content creation world is to simply start and embrace the journey. Don’t let negative thoughts or fears about what others might say hold you back. I often wish I had begun sooner, as I struggled with starting and stopping, too focused on external opinions.
Focus on learning and growing by studying trends, techniques, and the industry. Most importantly, be your authentic self. Remember, no amount of “no’s” can define who you are or your potential. If you stay true to yourself and genuinely express your unique style and voice, you’ll find your path and build a meaningful connection with your audience.
9. Can you share a project or collaboration you’re particularly proud of? What made it special?
I’m particularly proud of the diverse range of collaborations and projects I’ve managed to build through content creation on Instagram. The journey has allowed me to work with many different brands and companies, which has been incredibly rewarding. My experience in modeling has played a significant role in this, as it has given me the opportunity to create compelling visual content and participate in various promotional shoots.
The blend of modeling and content creation has enabled me to showcase a unique perspective and develop strong relationships with brands. I’m grateful for the trust they’ve placed in me and for the chance to bring my vision to life across different platforms. These collaborations not only highlight my passion for fashion and lifestyle but also reflect the genuine connections I’ve built along the way.
10. Where do you see your content creation journey heading in the next few years? What are your future goals?
Looking ahead, I have a long list of goals for my content creation journey. As a bit of a dreamer, I’m excited about the prospect of growing my following and reaching new heights with brand collaborations. I also look forward to exploring international opportunities and expanding my network globally, building more meaningful relationships along the way.
Most importantly, I want to continue being true to myself throughout this journey. Keeping my head held high and staying authentic to who I am remains a top priority.
